Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary discipline of engineering that deals with the development of more dependable and cost effective systems. Mechatronics Engineering, as it is often called, is a branch of mechanical engineering that integrates electronic and electrical engineering to develop and manufacture systems that are unified within this field of study. Robotics, electronics, computer, telecommunications, systems, control and product engineering are all part of this.
Mechatronic Engineers specialise in the field to qualify in robotics, mechanics, control systems and equipment manufacturing. They also work as a team or individually to address challenges in a creative and critical manner. Mechatronics Engineering teaches students the principles of both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. This means that a Mechatronic Engineer may perform the duties of both a mechanical and an electrical engineer. As a result, it prepares students to develop, produce, maintain and organise modern types of technology for application in a variety of sectors and settings.
Considering Mechatronics is multifunctional, it gives students with additional duties within this industry. They can use mechatronic or automated systems to transport material components or finished things, or they can develop and help manufacture consumer devices like cameras and video recorders. Mechatronics programmes are available at numerous institutions at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, but it is also available as a field of specialisation for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
