• Verify one's enrolment at the Holland International Study Centre.
• Read the Admissions Department's advice on the next steps in applying for a student visa.
• The preferred Dutch University will begin the visa application procedure for the student once they have received a conditional offer for a degree from that institution.
• When applying for a visa, they will inform the students of the paperwork they must provide to the University.
• The application will be forwarded to the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) after the University has processed it and received all required paperwork.
• Throughout the application process, the University will keep the student informed.
• All Foundation students submit visa applications over the summer.

Requirements for a Student Visa for the Netherlands

For the successful grant of a student visa to the Netherlands, a student must submit these documents:

• Valid passport
• Proof of sufficient financial means to validate that one can support oneself financially during their stay. These include all or part of the funds' transfer, bank statements, and scholarship letters.
• Letter from the university one has chosen to confirm their admission or enrollment
• Proof of payment for all required legal fees
• Health insurance
• NUFFIC certificate, a requirement only for Chinese students

Other document requirements are:

• Completed application form
• Two photographs meeting the officially specified conditions
• Birth certificate
• Academic transcripts

Insurance Requirements:

Both students and people employed in the Netherlands must have minimal health insurance to cover their medical costs.

Student Visa with Dependents:

If one's spouse is from the Netherlands or a member of the EU and is their sponsor, they may be eligible for a residence or work permit.
