Student Pass

In Singapore, a student visa is referred to as a student pass. Students from abroad whose study programme lasts more than 30 days must apply for a Student Pass. The Student's Pass Online Application and Registration (SOLAR) system is used to submit applications. Admission notification from any Singaporean university is a requirement for application and must be given at least one month before the commencement of the semester.

Required Documents

• A valid passport and a copy of the particulars that must be valid for at least three months or beyond.
• The Disembarkation/Embarkation card of the student that is granted upon entry into Singapore.
• One recent white background colour passport-sized photograph
• The eForm 16 printouts submitted through SOLAR
• A copy of the IPA letter
• A medical report in the format available on ICA's website.
• Completed Student Visa Application Forms
• Birth Certificate
• In-principle approval letter
• Application fee payment receipt
• Bank Statements
• Fixed Deposit Receipts and Bank loan sanction letter (if necessary)

Student Pass with Dependants

Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 are allowed to accompany international students while they are enrolled in classes if they apply for a Dependant's Pass in Singapore. A Dependant Pass holder can live, study, and work in Singapore with prior authorisation. Six months before it expires, a Dependant Pass may be renewed.
