The University of Bradford, located in West Yorkshire, England, is one of the world's most prestigious technology universities. It was established in 1832 as an Institute of Mechanics, but it was not until 1966 that the University gained official recognition and became England's 40th University.

The University is housed on a single, environmentally friendly campus close to the city center. It is known as the City Campus which is a small, self-contained, and environmentally friendly campus with everything students need for learning, relaxing, and playing.

To help students obtain valuable work experience, the Career and Employability Centre offers assistance and support for seeking part-time employment, graduate positions, placements and internships, volunteering and self-employment, and opportunities for study or work abroad. They offer employability seminars, webinars, fairs, and festivals, as well as help with CVs, application forms, and cover letters for students. They also encourage students to consider their career options and skills to improve their potential employability.

The Bradford Employability Award and the Bradford Mentoring Programme helps students learn valuable skills and knowledge. The Bradford Employability Award recognizes students who have participated in employability activities, while the Bradford Mentoring Program enables students to network with seasoned professionals and gain advice and feedback about how to improve their future employability.

Success Rate:

94 % of the University graduates are working or enrolled in further education within six months of graduation, with 85% of these students being employed in technical and managerial positions.

Student Services:

The Student Support Service is a group of professionals that assists students in gaining access to various resources and facilities. They often respond to questions and provide basic information, advice, support, and guidance to students with special needs or health issues. Students also receive support for all their academic, financial, and daily needs. The support service also caters to students with special needs. Both students and staff members of all faiths and ideologies receive spiritual guidance and pastoral care from the Interfaith Chaplaincy.

Accommodation:

The Green is Bradford's preferred on-campus student accommodation. There is a shared kitchen, dining area, living room, and bedrooms with a three-quarter bed, des, and wardrobe. Townhouses, which typically have a kitchen, dining room, and living room with direct access to an outdoor patio or garden, are also included. Private houses and apartments within walking distance of the City Campus are also available for students to rent. 

Health Services:

International students must register with a general practitioner to gain access to all health care services, including family planning, sexual health, specific health problems and medications, as well as doctors, dentists, opticians, and vaccinations.

The University's Counselling and Mental Health Program, which is free and confidential, provides support to both students and staff. They also offer a variety of self-help services and seminars to students who are worried about their mental health or well-being. Physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation services, neurological physiotherapy clinics, and musculoskeletal and sport rehabilitation clinics are also accessible at the University.

Sports Facilities:

Two Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitches, fitness suites, a swimming pool, tennis courts, climbing walls, an indoor sports hall, and a fully-equipped gym are among Bradford's sports facilities. Besides, there are over 25 sports clubs where students can engage in training sessions and social activities. The University also offers a Sports Scholarship Program, which provides financial aid to students who compete in competitive sports.

Library facilities:

The library, which is situated in the heart of campus, holds a wide collection of books, a catalog, databases, journals, reading lists, reference materials, and e-resources. Students have access to study rooms and facilities, as well as borrowing and returning, reserving and renewing printing and photocopying, and library assistance.
