In the mid-twentieth century and until 2007 University College Birmingham, located in central Birmingham, was initially a technical college. It was in 2007 that University College Birmingham was allowed full degree-granting powers. Library:

The University libraries are based at The Link and Richmond House. The library facilities include quiet study spaces, Wi-Fi and computer access. Accommodation:

The University accommodates more than 800 students in their halls of residence. The accommodations have a city-centre location and are located close to the campus.
