Student Services

SAE Institute is known for its world-class provisions and facilities. The Institute provides their students with student facilities like classrooms, computer labs, free wifi, student lunch rooms including microwave, free tea/coffee, water cooler, lifts, disabled facilities. Apart from these basic amenities, SAE Institute has a midi suite fully equipped for audio training, a film studio as well as outdoor shoot locations with the latest gadgets and film gear.

SAE Auckland has 5 different studios:

• Studio A: Set up as a vintage-style studio that gives the students a chance to familiarise themselves with recording techniques.
• Studio B: Features State of Art protools S6 desk from Avid.
• Studio C: Has been set up as a basic recording studio similar to the environment found in sound engineer studios.
• Studio D: Has been set up for both audio and film students to help add in foley, SFX, and music scores for film projects.
• Studio E: This is a purpose-built, professional listening environment featuring the latest equipment for the best sound quality.

The institute also takes into consideration the fact that students are bound to face a lot of mental stress and are in need of someone to talk to. Pursuing such strenuous practical courses can be challenging and straining on the mental health of a person. Therefore, the college has administered the provision of counseling services to all their students with a safe place to creatively explore and address any problem that may be affecting their studies. Peer-to-peer engagement is also highly encouraged.

Accommodation

The students can avail accommodation facilities through the Homestay facilities available where a student services section has been set up to help students secure accommodation during the course of their study. Besides the homestay option, student sharing accommodation facilities are also available for home-sharing among students, all of which are located minutes away from the various campuses and are within a reasonable budget. Hostels around the campus equipped with all the basic amenities are also available.

Medical Services

SAE does not have formal medical services within their campuses but official student services and grievance teams are kept in place to help the students and guide them with various medical-related issues and support. The campus is located in areas that are close to good medical health centers which makes it all the more accessible for students to go in for their regular check-ups or any other medical-related emergency.

Sports Facilities

The students at SAE are highly encouraged to engage in physical activity to keep a balanced check between physical health and academics. Students have a wide range of choices for different gym membership options, most of which are available within their accommodation complexes or around.

Library Services

SAE has a large and furnished library within their campus, which is equipped with all the up-to-date information, computer facilities, projectors, virtual reality, internet, and a wide-ranging collection of books from various subjects, as well as a desirable collection of hard to come by, non-prescribed books related to audio and film production. The students have access to all library facilities to help them with their research work or just for recreational purposes. The SAE library is accessible both online and offline.
