Employment Focus Limited trading as the Professional Business and Restaurant School (PBRS) was established in 2000. The school is one of the top hospitality schools in New Zealand, offering courses in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, and Business Training.

Student Services

At PBRS, the school recognises the fact that students are put under immense pressure during the course of study. For this reason, they have a dedicated welfare service with facilities for students who need a little extra help and guidance. The school provides career pathway services as well as confidential pastoral and counselling services within their campus headed by a dedicated team. Career counselling services are also available to students who wish to get a head start in drawing up requisitions for their future path.  

Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is available at PBRS but is limited. The accommodation spaces are well structured, spacious and equipped with all the needs required. Laundry service, meal service, high-speed internet and well-equipped bedrooms, bathrooms and common living areas. For the students who do not get a spot in the campus accommodation area, they are provided with navigation as to where they can live while pursuing their courses. The school has a fully monitored and coordinated Homestay Programme where the international students can find a place to live while they pursue their studies. Other accommodation options include private rentals, student accommodation properties, and hostels and boarding houses. Each of these accommodation options offers a different package of services at varying weekly rates.

Medical Services

The school is equipped to handle minor accidents that may occur within the campus. As of now, they do not have an official medical or wellness centre as such, but an infirmary has been set in place tended to by a nurse in charge to cater to any minor medical emergency the students might face in and around the campus. Besides this, PBRS provides their students with medical counselling services which are free and accessible by all students to help them sort out their medical needs while at the school.

Library Services

The school has a large and furnished library within their campus with up to date information, computer facilities, internet and a wide-ranging collection of books from all subjects. The library also has non-prescribed textbooks which are unavailable online which would benefit the students greatly. The students of the college have access to all library facilities to help them with their research work or just for recreational purposes. The library is available both online as well as offline.
