New Zealand Management Academies

New Zealand Management Academies is a New Zealand-owned private tertiary institution established in the year 1985.

The Academies offer a very wide range of vocational courses for students interested in pursuing careers in the lines of hospitality, cookery, business, contact center, retail, construction, electrical engineering, health, plumbing, and gas fitting, or early childhood. The courses that are management-related are all certified courses that will help the students achieve success in the particular field that best suits their interests.

Usually, students applying for courses already have in mind what they want to pursue and directly apply for the course. Success Rate:

• New Zealand Management Academies is part of Up Education and is ranked a Category 1 provider by NZQA – which is their highest rating.
• NZMA is also ranked as a Category 1 provider on NZQA’s EER rating which is the best rating possible for providers. This means that they are on the highest tier of private tertiary educators and operate under a four-year NZQA External Evaluation and Review (EER) cycle. NZMA’s most recent EER was in 2017, where they retained their Category 1 status.

Student Services

NZMA is a firm believer in empowerment and academic achievement of the highest level. For this reason, all the courses facilitated are designed to help students achieve maximum academic success as well as the confidence that comes with hands-on practical experience to help them get a kick start in their careers.

The institute also recognises the fact that students face a lot of mental pressure and are in need of someone to talk to. Pursuing these practical courses can be challenging and straining on the mental health of a person. For this reason, the institute provides counselling services to all their students with a safe place to creatively explore and address any problem that may be affecting their studies. NZMA also has a grievance section that helps students deal with grievances faced on campus.

Accommodation

The students at the college can avail accommodation facilities through the Homestay Programme available where the assigned staff help navigate the students to find suitable placements with families affiliated with the programme during their course of study. Student accommodation facilities are also available for home-sharing among students, all of which are located minutes away from the various campuses and are within a reasonable budget.

Medical Services

NZMA does not have formal medical services within their campuses but official student advisors are available to guide students and help them with various medical insurance-related issues and support. All campuses are located in areas that are close to good medical health centres which makes it all the more accessible for students to go in for their regular check-ups or any other medical-related emergency.

Sports Facilities

The students of NZMA enjoy a wide range of sports facilities within the various campuses themselves. The students are encouraged to engage in physical exercise as a way to keep their minds and bodies balanced. The institute provides gym memberships to students who are interested in accessing their gym facilities.

NZMA has large and furnished libraries within all their campuses, equipped with up-to-date information, computer facilities, projectors, virtual reality, internet and a wide-ranging collection of books from all genres.
