About

The Arts University Bournemouth was instituted in 1885 with the aim to deliver high-quality, specialised education in art, design, media, and performance. It was established as a specialty institution and today, it is considered one of the premier universities in the creative industries. The University has evolved immensely to include Science, Design, and Technology and in 2012, it became a comprehensive university with a focus on art, performance, innovation, and media in the creative industries. It boasts of a lovely 9-acre campus with 19 cutting-edge buildings that house academic facilities, administrative offices, specialised workshops, workspaces, and recreational areas. It offers courses at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and research levels, as well as a variety of short courses. It offers approximately 20 undergraduate and ten graduate courses in two faculties: Art and Design and Media and Performance. It is a university that never stops innovating, collaborating, and connecting in ways that help creative people transform their ideas into professions. There are multiple lecture halls, seminar halls, boardrooms, and networking rooms on the campus, all of which are outfitted with the necessary technology and equipment. The library combines a variety of written and electronic materials, as well as approximately 50,000 books. The Arts University of Bournemouth houses a Students' Union that hosts over 30 organisations and societies devoted to keeping students inspired and enthusiastic through various individual, rational, social, and other activities.

Student Services

At the Arts University of Bournemouth each week, Student Services collaborates with the nearby Village Surgery to give a dedicated medical surgery . In addition to this, on Tuesday lunchtime, the nurse practitioner conducts surgery on campus.
