Abertay University was founded in 1888 in the heart of Dundee and is considered one of the innovative and well-designed institutions in the United Kingdom. The institution is known to introduce the first graduate degree in computer gaming worldwide, with students not only being ingrained with the theoretical knowledge but are practically trained in a new study-based environment that is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Abertay also uses game technology to solve challenges in the discovery of cancer drugs, global warming, and other environmental sciences. The University offers professional career counseling and collaborates closely with business organizations and academic schools to assist students in evolving their skills and increase their employability. Students who graduate from Abertay University obtain exposure to the University's Careers Service support for three years as soon as they complete their studies. As a part of employability, Abertay University has tied up with Santander Universities, where the existing students are offered to work with SME's (small and medium-sized enterprises) in the form of paid short-term projects.

Student Services

Abertay University provides students several services in short-time employability, Abertay Gamelab, contemplation room, sports facilities, and King Library among others. In the Bbertay Game lab, a massive set of computer stations are established, which are typically utilized for high game development as well as graphics development.
